PURPOSE
The Data Controller makes this document available to users in order to (i) comply with the provisions of current legislation on data protection, and in the context of the new regulatory framework pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter, the GDPR); (ii) comply with national legislation on the protection of personal data; and (iii) inform all users of the website about the terms and conditions of use.

In compliance with Spanish Organic Law 15/1999 of 13 December on the protection of personal data, you will be informed when the personal data requested on our website, or which may be provided to us by email, is added to our personal data files, which are owned and controlled by Hostal La Cigüeña.

All data will be processed with the utmost confidentiality and in accordance with current legislation on the protection of personal data, and our files are legally registered in the General Registry of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

In addition, if you wish, at any time you may withdraw your consent to receive advertising messages by email or promotional information by sending a message to the email address hostal@laciguenya.com, clearly indicating

that you do not wish to receive commercial messages by email.

Your personal data is collected in order to produce statistics and studies, as well as to send news articles, adverts, deals on products and services, messages, and commercial information about Hostal La Cigüeña.

APPLICABLE LAW and JURISDICTION

The Hostal La Cigüeña website is governed by Spanish legislation, so any dispute which may arise with users regarding the terms and conditions of use and any other dispute related to the content and services of the website will be resolved by the Courts and Tribunals of Ibiza, in accordance with Spanish law.

BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS (ACCOMMODATION)
By using services or booking products offered by Hostal La Cigüeña, you accept this contract and declare that:

You are of legal age (over 18 years old) and have the necessary legal capacity to contract the services offered on the website of Hostal La Cigüeña, stating that you understand all the terms and conditions found on the website.

All the information provided at the time of making the booking is true, complete and concise.

You confirm the dates stated in the booking, as well as the number of rooms, the number of guests, and the type of room.

The terms and conditions and rates of contracted bookings are those explicitly stated in the document. The provision of services starts at 2.00 pm on the day of check-in and ends at 12.00 noon on the day of check-out.

At the time of booking, the guest has the option of paying 20% of the booking by credit card, with the rest payable during check-in. If the booking is for 1 to 4 nights, the sum of the deposit is the equivalent of the first night. If it is a booking including a special deal, you will be charged the total of the booking and no changes or cancellations are allowed.

During check-in, the hotel will ask for the card used to make the booking in order to verify the cardholder's identity. If the cardholder is different from the guest or has not travelled with the card used for the booking, an authorisation from the holder of said card will be required. Please contact the hotel directly by email to be sent the authorisation form. If the guest arrives at the hotel without the card or the cardholder's authorisation, the hotel may cancel the booking, without this giving rise to any type of compensation or the possibility of lodging a complaint against the hotel.

If the guest arrives on the day of check-in without prior cancellation, the booking will be cancelled.

The price includes accommodation and breakfast. It does not include any other optional extras or any other services that are not explicitly contracted via the laciguenya.com system.

Booking rates include VAT, unless explicitly mentioned otherwise. Any other rate or tax applicable to your stay will be paid separately at the property.

All rooms are non-smoking and pets are not allowed.

Pursuant to Law 2/2016 of 30 March 2016 on the tourist tax in the Balearic Islands and measures to promote sustainable tourism, please note that from 1 July 2016, all guests over 16 years of age staying at our property must pay the tax established by said law per person and night of accommodation. This tax is not included in room rate and is payable directly at the hotel.

CHANGES AND/OR CANCELLATIONS
Guests may change booking dates up to thirty days before the check-in date, depending on availability, and without losing their deposit. The current rates will be applied to the new dates.

The deposit is not refundable in the event of cancellation. In the event of partial cancellation, the sum equivalent to 20% of the days cancelled will be charged as a cancellation fee.

In the event of no-shows on the check-in date, the booking will be cancelled and the sum already paid will be considered a cancellation fee.

All changes/cancellations must be requested in writing (hostal@laciguenya.com).
